North Andover high schooler gets involved in state government

North Andover High School senior Mariah Eskel is taking an active role in state government, working with State Senator Bruce Tarr on legislation before the Massachusetts Legislature.
The bills address issues including renewable energy and tax incentives. Eskel has also testified before lawmakers and hopes her experience will encourage people of all ages to take part in local and state government.
Eskel says she hopes to run for Congress one day. Her story is a reminder that young people can make their voices heard in the legislative process.
